Battlefield 5 release date confirmed for the holidays 2016

EA has confirmed that the next Battlefield game, after Hardline, will be released in the last quarter of 2016, most likely October 2016 (BF4 and BF3 both launched in late-October).

EA has confirmed that Battlefield 5 is in development and that it will be released in Fall of 2016. The game will also be military-themed, according to EA.

Recently, the game developer posted a job opening for a senior concept artist on its official website. What is particularly interesting is that according to the ad, the artist would have the responsibility to “push visual quality to the next level on an unannounced AAA title.

The company has already said that Battlefield 5 is going to be improved in terms of graphics quality and animation. EA CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed that he has seen the game in action that “it’s shaping up to be a fun, new Battlefield”. He also confirmed that Battlefield 5 will not go the way of Hardline, with its cops-and-robbers style, but will instead be true to Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 5 is expected to hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC. DICE may reveal more information about the Battlefield 5 release during E3 2016.
